Below are some parts that I have made for a pharmaceutical company.

The Raw Material

Here is the ruff cut of Billet Aluminum that I will use. it weighs over 3.5 Lbs at this stage.

This is what the finished part looks like. This part has specific external dimensions and need to hold 24 specimens plus 2 holes for thermocouples. The customer also required this part to weigh 420 grams. After a few hrs. on the milling machining, I have lightened the load quite a bit.  The finished weight was exactly 420g.

Repeatability

Sometimes one isn’t enough. Even though my specialty is in prototype, small production runs can be obtained easily. In this case the order was placed on a Wednesday and these parts along with the other design shown below were delivered on the following Monday morning.

Similar but different.

These blocks have different external dimensions along with different design requirements. These blocks finished around 345 grams.

These cylinders are constantly needed in different configurations. From time to time i will have to produce these parts in different lengths or diameters to my customers specifications.

This manifold was duplicated in my shop. The original manufacture was overseas and there was a 6 month lead time to get another made. This part had some complicated angles that are not visible in these photos. 96 hrs after the part was dropped off at my shop, the finished part was delivered.
